Unico offers a wide range of economical, reliable and super quiet benchtop centrifuges with horizontal or 12-place fixed angle rotors in the PowerSpin™ HXV Series. The horizontal rotor also allows a clean, complete separation of cellular components, producing a superior serum or plasma specimen. Serum separator tubes (SSTs) are spun on horizontal rotors; the rotors create a tight seal, reducing specimen degradation and the risk of red cell leakage. It is of particular importance when the specimen is sent for testing. The PowerSpin™ HXV's electronically controlled safety lock prevents the lid from being opened while the rotor is running. With the help of a digital timer and LCD display, the user can precisely control the spinning cycle. The brushless motor is maintenance-free, so you can use it for years without worry. Stainless steel guard bowls are easy to clean and maintain. With PowerSpin™ HXV, the lid cannot be opened while the rotor is in motion due to a zero RPM safety lock. Using the LCD display attached to the digital timer, the user can control the spin cycle very precisely. Brushless motors offer years of dependable service without requiring maintenance. In addition to providing extra protection, the stainless steel guard bowl is easy to clean and maintain.
